FO!

Pattern: Earflap hat from Last Minute Knitted Gifts

Yarn: unknown wool gifted from the family I live with

Changes: 10.5 instead of US 9 needles, and I started with the earflaps tip up to make a seamless join to the brim.

Comments: I think the hats tend to be too tall - it called for knitting to 7" from the brim before decreasing - next time I make this hat (and there will be a next time!), I think I'll only do 5" and see how it goes. I also would like the earflaps to be more square at the bottom than they are, though I like their length.

If you're looking to get some new yarn from other knitters, check out DeStash - I've already joined up to try and clean out my stash (optimistically hoping that I'll be moving for a job in June)
